A Message From The Course Directors

Soft tissue features for both esthetics and function have become of paramount importance in implant dentistry. Achievement of ideal soft tissue form and function around implants requires an understanding of both prosthetic parameters and soft tissue surgical principles combined with an interdisciplinary approach to treatment planning and treatment sequencing.

While in the past the focus in implant dentistry has been on bone, today there is a greater appreciation for soft tissue. In sites with normal soft tissue, it is imperative to preserve it, and in sites with deficiencies, it is necessary to restore it.

The Soft Tissue Summit brings together expertise in implant surgery, implant prosthetics, and periodontal plastic surgery from our 60 combined years of clinical practice and teaching. This 3-day course will focus on contemporary, minimally invasive soft tissue surgical procedures specifically applicable in implant therapy.

It is our goal for you to learn when and how to apply soft tissue surgical procedures in your practice to enhance the outcome for your implant patients. We look forward to a rewarding time together as we seek to advance the state of the art in implant dentistry.

Sincerely,
Edward P. Allen, DDS, PhD and Carl E. Misch, DDS, MDS, PhD (hc)
“Dr. Misch and Dr. Allen are two of the best dental educators I’ve encountered. They have such a vast knowledge of their subject and experience and are able to organize their courses so those attending can grasp the concepts and techniques very efficiently and thoroughly. The well-illustrated lectures and thoughtfully planned Hands-on Workshops together really help solidify the information taught. My education at the Misch Institute and through Dr. Allen’s courses has revolutionized the care I am able to offer my patients and best of all has increased my pleasure in coming to work each day.”
