Dr. James Ruthkowski
Dr. Ruthkowski’s training includes a PhD in Pharmacology/Toxicology as well as being in the private dental practice in Clarion, Pennsylvania. He has conducted extensive research and authored publications in his interests in “The Human Growth Factor influence on human stem cells” and “Pharmacology in Sedation Dentistry.”

Meeting Synopsis

  • The conference presentations will provide insight into the new 3-D imaging technology revolution. The journey begins with treatment planning and case presentation models that will increase predictability.
  • The point – counterpoint presentation style will be used to illustrate how different treatment paradigms are resolved successfully, both surgically, and prosthetically.
  • Phamacological protocols will be reviewed as well as the latest research in PRP technology that can be implemented into every day dental practice to improve treatment outcomes.
  • The journey continues with the presentation of innovative technology used in hard and soft tissue surgical techniques for implant site and development and implant placement.
  • Staff breakout sessions will include asepsis protocols and aftercare training. Communication specialists will be utilized for staff training to strengthen the dental practice presence in the community.
  • Evidence based protocols will be provided to predictably rescue ailing and failing implants utilizing LASER technology.
  • Finally, the last day will be devoted to various case presentations that will illustrate the connection of technology with treatment.

Meeting Objectives

Upon completion of the conference each participant should have acquired:
  1. Insight into the advantages of utilizing 3-D imaging in treatment planning, surgery, and case finishing; and how to implement hardware and software technologies into their dental practice.
  2. A review of current Pharmacology protocols including how to handle the patient on Bisphosphonates, and how to get more out of PRP technology.
  3. The current soft and hard tissue management/grafting skills for maximum esthetics and maintenance around dental implants.
  4. Innovative new skills for providing impeccable service, for attracting more new patients, for branding strategies, and how to better utilize electronic technology in connecting with patients.
  5. The current accepted surgical aseptic protocols and how to implement them into their practice.
  6. New skills in rescuing ailing and failing implants through LASER technology.

Dr. Kim Gowey is in full time private dental practice in Medford, Wisconsin. He has been active in the field of implant dentistry since 1981. Currently his practice is 90% implant related. He has placed an restored over 3000 implants, including root forms, plate forms and subperiosteal implants. Dr. Gowey has a long list of service in Implant Dentistry and he is a past president of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He has served on faculty positions at Marquete University, Baylor College of Dentistry, as well as the AAID Maxi Course, Howard University School of Dentistry. He is an AAID Honored Fellow and ABOI/ID Diplomate.

Dr. Miller is currently in full time Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery. He has extensive experience in the field of implant dentistry including research publications and speaking on topics ranging from guided bone augmentation to Asthetic Laser Surgery in Oral Implantology. Dr. Miller has received many awards for his contributions to the field of Implant Dentistry. He is an AAID Fellow and ABO/ID diplomate, currently serving on the education committee.
