Course Description:
The success of a dental implant restoration is often dependent on the quality and quantity of the soft tissue that frames it. Unfortunately edentulous sites are often deficient in soft tissue and require soft tissue grafting as part of an implant treatment plan. This lecture will review and demonstrate soft tissue grafting techniques. Pre–surgical evaluation of the peri-implant soft tissue and the timing of soft tissue grafting within an implant treatment plan will also be discussed. The course will include a hands on portion in order to practice the techniques discussed.
