Course Summary: Platelet rich fibrin and Platelet rich plasma are used extensively in medicine and dentistry to enhance healing after various surgical procedures. Previous techniques developed were either too expensive or too complex to use on a regular basis by the implant dentist in the office setting. This course is designed to teach a relatively simple, inexpensive, scientifically proven way to enhance your patients’ healing after almost any surgical procedure, especially implant and implant related surgery. We will teach the science and practice of PRP and L-PRF that can be implemented in a very practical way in the offices of dentists who want to realize the many benefits of these procedures for both their patients and themselves. Educational Objectives:
That offices that participate in this course would obtain sufficient knowledge to implement PRP and L-PRF procedures into their surgical protocol in an efficient and effective manner. By doing so they should realize the significant benefits of: enhanced healing, fewer complications, fewer failed and compromised cases, and increased patient satisfaction. ![]()

![]() It has been reported that L-PRF and PRP can either enhance or reduce bone formation. This course explains why both thoughts are correct and how L-PRF and PRP should be processed to ensure predictable bone formation and decreased time to functional load. The program will also demonstrate: i) their use with sub-epithelial connective tissue grafts and ii) relevant peri-operative pain pharmacology to ensure a favorable treatment result and patient comfort.
