The Misch International Implant Institute™ was developed in 1984 to help set and elevate the standard of
care in implant dentistry using a hands-on approach. Now world renown, the Institute’s goal is to remain
at the forefront of implant dentistry through research, education and its unique clinical applications. Using
these tools and a well-trained faculty, the Institute is able to provide its students with the most progressive
        and documented information.

Dental Medicine, Temple University. He is co-chairman of the International Congress of
Oral Implantology (ICOI), the worlds largest implant organization. He has written four
textbooks on Implant dentistry, both on surgery and prosthetics, which have become
the most popular books in all of dentistry. He was the Director of the Oral Implantology
Residency Program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine from 1989

The Surgical Program was developed by Dr. Carl Misch for practitioners whose interest in is the surgical phase
of implant dentistry. This five session course emphasizes the differences between bone divisions and the
different nuances of each type of surgery. Participants will attend specific lectures on treatment planning
before moving to root form surgery and membrane grafting. These course are followed-up by advanced
techniques such as sinus grafting and immediate load surgery. Dr. Misch’s book, Contemporary Implant
Dentistry, 3rd Edition, will be provided at Session 1 and handouts at each session relating to the covered topics.

options, patient force factors, bone density, implant positions, number of implant abutments, ideal implant
size for each tooth location, and bone volume related treatment options are presented in detail. CT and
radiographic interpretation workshops and hands-on suturing techniques and implant insertion in the
treatment models are also provided. The surgical procedure and prosthesis type presented in the first session
is the replacement of a mandibular single posterior missing tooth.

The second session of the Misch International Implant Institute™ advances the clinician’s skill level and
knowledge of root forms. The focus of this session will include surgery, uncovery and short and long term
complications for root forms. Complications presented include: excessive bleeding during surgery, nerve
damage and bone loss during initial healing. The second surgical session addresses partial and completely
edentulous mandibular overdentures and fixed prostheses for multiple adjacent missing teeth in the
posterior mandible. Altered surgical approaches, dependent upon bone density are presented in detail. The bone volume classification covered at
this session is Misch-Judy Division A and B. Hands-on labs will give clinicians the chance to apply learned techniques in a controlled environment.

The third session of the MIII™ is primarily concerned with two implant issues: Maxillary anterior single tooth
implants and barrier membrane particulate bone grafts. The volume of bone and related procedures covered
in the session is for Division B bone augmentation using a “layered approach” as developed by Dr. Misch.
Atraumatic extractions and socket grafting are also presented. Indications for extraction and immediate
implant insertion, esthetic complications of implant position and angulation are also covered in detail.

The fourth session is dedicated to treatment of the posterior maxilla. Sinus lifts and sinus grafting are
presented in detail. The unique aspects of the program include maxillary sinus pathology and pharmacology.
Complications of this region are also covered in detail. The hands-on laboratory sessions are performed on
unique models developed specifically for the MIII™ for both sinus lifts and grafts.

Dental Implants have become a major part in our dental practice. More and more patients as well as clinicians seek a fixed or stable implant prosthesis giving our patients a functional and esthetic solution for their needs.

There are numerous implant hands-on courses for clinicians focusing on model training or sometimes a cadaver workshop trying to simulate the human oral cavity.

Occasionally lack of experience makes the transformation of the surgical techniques to our patients difficult.

For the first time the international course for oral implantology allows the clinician to perform on patients a variety of dental implant surgical procedures including sinus augmentations and immediate loading procedures in cases with single, partial and complete edentulism. All of the above will performed under the close supervision of some of the leading well experienced clinicians: Dr Ziv Mazor, Dr Adi Lorean, Dr Eitan Mijiritsky & Prof Voya Lekovic. The program allows one-on-one interaction between the participant and the instructor. In the Implant beginner course each participant places at least 10-12 Implants and participates in additional surgical procedures.

In the advanced grafting course each participant performs at least two open sinus augmentations and participates in other surgical augmentation procedures. A custom tailored program can be designed according to the participant’s needs.

The program includes utilization of innovative state of the art techniques, materials and surgical tools.

The course takes place in the University of Belgrade. Participants will receive their certificates from the university upon completion of the course.
